If there are two particular items that are picked up and dropped off, moved around, forgotten, misplaced, thrown away, borrowed, stolen, abandoned, thrown away left anywhere and everywhere. They are umbrellas and bicycles.

You can and will find bicycles and umbrellas in many strange places, as well as the common ones. For example umbrellas can be found in toilets, on the subway, trains, buses, on a fence railing, left outside conveinience stores, left in shops, on the sidewalk, hanging up on a rubbish bin, left in an elevator or hanging on a carpark meter, laying in the gutter, hanging up or laying down beside the legendary squatter or racing tobogin, some poor customer probably got stressed out trying to take control of the squatter and left his trusty umbrella behind.

You will even see them all broken up like a train wreck protruding out of a rubbish bin. It’s basically like the old saying: What you loose on the merry-go-round, you will pick up on the swings. In a throw away society like Japan is, you can pick up a cheap umbrella plastic trendy coloured disposable style one in the colour of your choice for example: hot pink, sky blue, yellow, green, ect. or plain old white, for around 200 plus yen in any convienience store or discount store like : Direx ,Mr. Max, Don Quiote, Bulldog,Trial, ect.

Tip: If you have a good quality umbrella we suggest you find an umbrella stand with a lock and key so your umbrella wont disappear, alternatively you can put your umbrella in a plastic bag provided by the stores umbrella machine at the front entrance to the store and carry it around with you.We have provided some pics . for you so you know exactly what we are talking about.
