These water dispensing machines you can find in many of the supermarkets over here in Japan. The deal is you purchase a container for 500 yen around $5.00 USD and you can get as much water as you want, forever. Great for cooking and still ok to drink too, the containers hold around 4 liters.

The Japanese are true professionals when it comes to food presentation they are very artistic and show great pride in their cuisine and the way it is presented to their clientele. Here is a pic of a plate of BASASHI (horse meat) served with a slice of lemon, ginger, garlic, soy sauce. It is very delicious and a must try dish in our opinion! Basashi is very famous in the Kumamoto Prefecture down here on Kyushu island.
Unique BBQ

Here is a unique little BBQ . Yes your own private little barbie! this one is very unique and the sausages were tasty too. You will quite often find restaurants that have unique little BBQ’s that you can cook your own food on, not just sausages but also steak, seafood ect.
Baseball Season in Japan!

Well spring training kicked off a few weeks ago over here in Japan . It wont be long before they are all at it again! The Japanese love there baseball with a passion and you might be thinking your looking at an advertisement for colored condoms or something! The Japanese Fans let off these balloons at the start of the 7th innings it signifies luck, we think. We will grab some more info on this somewhat strange ritual and post it up for you at a later date.
I Did Not Order That!

You will soon discover that in Japan where western food is concerned, alot of the time you don’t exactly get what you ordered or paid for. Expectations and reality as far as western food goes could not be more diverse alot of the time believe us!. You think steak big and juicy….well maybe, it depends where your at how much you want to spend and if you have your credit card with you.
You think pizza western style you couldn’t be more wrong! believe us !.We wont go into details with the pizzas because we have a very special exclusive edition coming up on that one your going to love it!. So youve just ordered a hamburger and have visions of grandeur a big juicy western style hamburger with all the trimmings and here comes the cute little waitress with a big smile on her face, with your burger?
The Sign Said What?

Well sometimes Japanese signs translated into English just don’t quite cut it. Here we have a couple of examples forwarded to us by one of our Japanese freelancers who is always keeping an eye out for the weird and wonderful and we are never disappointed by what he comes up with . Hence the WOMB OPENING SALE 20% OFF the mind boggles how much does a woman’s womb sell for these days?!!
Still he managed to come up with an even better candidate DO NOT TEACH I didnt know bicycles could talk , I wonder how much they pay for a lesson or if they take group lessons or private lessons lol.
Another one we saw a while back was at an airport here in Japan the sign said: FRIGHT SCHEDULE if you were a little paranoid about flying that would really set you off you wouldnt make it to the departure gate! We are putting in a link here for you now for a very good sight when it comes to perculiar signs in the English language.
